ABOUT THE BENNETTS

We believe God has called us to be a missionary family to carry the good news of Jesus Christ to the ends of the world. Our calling has taken us to the Czech Republic, where we have served as full-time missionaries for the past three years. We began our missionary journey through a missions organization which has since closed its operation in Czech and has released us to serve on our own.

Through a series of God-ordained events, we have been able to establish a ministry center, where we run different programs aimed at reaching the Czech people. We currently use the following programs to build relationships:

Teaching English to children and adults. Czechs have a great desire to learn English and we use this desire to make friends and build relationships through which we can introduce them to our Lord. We recently started a class for toddlers, which has now grown into a English preschool.

Bible kids camp for orphans. We run a five-day camp for children living in government-run homes at different retreat and hotels throughout the country. Our goal is to provide a fun week for the kids in a loving, safe environment where we teach the children God’s love and truth through morning and evening devotions.

Celebrate Recovery and other programs. Our ministry center is also home to our church in Czech. Because of this, we are able to easily partner with our church to run different programs aimed at building up the body of Christ as well as to reach to the community.

Short-Term missions trips. We coordinate short-term mission trip opportunities for individual families and groups throughout the year.

We believe the best way to reach the Czech people is through the younger generation. In our experience, we have seen that adults over 30 years of age hardly ever respond to the Gospel whereas students and children are more open to Christ’s love and truth.

Our school is set up as a private language school to meet Czech law. Having a business has enabled us to get our visas so that we can legally stay in this country long-term. We believe that we are called to stay in Czech for the long haul…exactly how long, only God knows. As a result, we realize the great importance of learning the Czech language to be fully effective in reaching the Czech people. Learning the language has been and will continue to be our primary goal for the immediate future.

Recently we were blessed to come under New Hope International’s Missionary Pastors and Teachers field ministry. They are a missions organization which share our passion to reach the lost and whose founders have traveled the road of raising children in a foreign mission field. We are excited about being part of this team and look forward to all the good things God has in store for us in this relationship.

One of our prayers is for laborers to come and serve with us and we believe God will send them at the right time. For now we want to be faithful with what God has entrusted us with. More than anything, we would appreciate your prayers--that we might know our Lord Jesus in a deeper way and make Him known to those around us in the way we conduct our lives.
