The WeaversAbout the Weavers

Greetings from Frederick, MD.  We're very excited to be a part of NHI. We are brand new to NHI, but not new to ministry.

Our History: Jodi and I were married in the Summer of 1992 in Greenville, SC. Jodi was (and still is) a teacher and I was working at a Psychiatric Hospital as a mental health worker.  We were both very active in our local church, serving as small group leaders, as well as singing and playing in the band with our church worship team.

After a short-term missions trip to Trinidad & Tobago in 1993, we strongly felt God's call to full-time ministry. With much prayer and seeking God's direction, six months later we found ourselves on staff at our local church as youth ministers. We served in this capacity at Mt. Zion Christian Fellowship in Greenville, SC for nearly seven years. During this time we became the proud parents of two children: daughter, Laken (now 13), and son, Spencer (now 11).

While serving at Mt. Zion I was trained in all aspects of production, and took a keen interest in marketing, design, and web development. This led to a position with Group Publishing in Loveland, Colorado where I was the web editor for Youthministry.com, and later became the E-Commerce Marketing Manager.

We served in Colorado for two years, then took a position with Frederick Christian Fellowship in Frederick, Maryland as the Marketing & Media Director. While at FCF Church I discovered that video production was a natural fit for me and began to take on a few video gigs outside of the church. In March of 2008 I left my position with the church to launch my own company: Conjostudios, LLC.  This is what I am currently doing. Jodi continues to teach math at a local middle school, and our children are actively involved in various activities.

Jodi and I continue to serve at our church in the marriage ministry. We are the hosts of a quarterly Marriage event called Married Life Live, as well as the hosts/facilitators of our annual marriage retreat.

Our Connection with NHI: In January of 2008, I had the opportunity to shoot a video for Mark Currie through FCF Church. In the process of spending time with Mark we began to develop a friendship and talked about producing a promo video for Mark's work in Russia.  As I began to think about this opportunity, my mind and heart was drawn to the thought of producing video promos for missionaries. I had the privilege of doing this for a couple of mission groups through our church over the past number of years. The more we prayed about this, the more we felt compelled to do pursue this mission. Then in early 2009, after a meeting with Mark Currie, we gladly accepted the offer to join the NHI team.

Our Mission: We are here to help mission associates raise awareness of their mission and raise support through high quality videos, web sites, and other media. NHI associates are our primary focus, however, we are also working with other groups and individuals as the opportunities arise.
